Joint Coordination Centre - Operational Update

26 August 2022, ISTANBUL – The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) authorized today the movement of two outbound vessels carrying a total of 58,750 metric tons of grain and food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

The two commercial vessels authorized to move tomorrow, 27 August, are:

1) S-BREEZE (IMO 9317145) from Chornomorsk to Egypt carrying 44,000 metric tons of corn.

2) ADNAN TORLAK (IMO 9243253) from Chornomorsk to Montoir, France, carrying 14,750 metric tons of rapeseeds.

In addition, the departure of merchant vessels ORIS SOFI also known as MELA ROSSA (IMO 8920282) was further delayed to tomorrow due to weather conditions. The vessel will carry 5,900 metric tons of sunflower oil to Türkiye.

Destinations indicated are based on information received at the JCC and may change based on commercial activity.

As of 26 August, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 978,636 metric tons. A total of 95 voyages (52 inbound and 43 outbound) have been enabled so far.

The JCC concluded inspections today on seven commercial vessels, five inbound vessels (BARON (IMO 7352476), HAZAR S (IMO 9545467), KATSUYAMA (IMO 9274678), MUBARIZ IBRAHIMOV (IMO 9575292), STELLA GS (IMO 9363285), and two outbound vessels (GANOSAYA (IMO 9151400) and ZHE HAI 505 (IMO 9567477). All vessels were cleared to sail.

The joint teams plan nine inspections tomorrow on six inbound vessels (DIGNITY (IMO 9118238), FULMAR S (IMO 9370082), JASMIN QUEEN (IMO 9109861), MASSA J (IMO 9224867), MAVKA (9284647), ORIS PRINCESS (IMO 9119907), and three outbound vessels (BELLIS (IMO 9381952), MOHAMED Y  also known as ALI S (IMO 8107000)  and ASCANIOS (IMO 9276169).

As per procedures agreed at the JCC, all participants coordinate with their respective military and other relevant authorities to ensure the safe passage of commercial vessels under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

The JCC monitors closely the passage of commercial vessels through the maritime humanitarian corridor.
